It’s birthday month! From here on out, I will be 25 and holding, haha! On the 23rd, I’ll be turning 28! I’m blessed to see another year around the sun and excited for what this next year holds! I know that’s super cliché but I truly mean it. The downtime over the last few weeks has given me the clarity I’ve needed to revamp my process and update things on the backend of the business.

This month, I’ve been working on moving into my new studio in North Canton and doing some pretty cool DIY projects for it. I’ve been making faux windows, hanging some sweet new backdrops and I’m currently tackling the floors. Getting the flooring in was a lot more difficult than my Massillon studio. This time I went with a vinyl roll instead of vinyl planks which I thought would be easier to install by myself with a staple gun but I was very sadly disappointed. Hubby to the rescue!

I’ve been enjoying reading/listening to new books this past month, mostly on character development, and making fun, new meals at home (my fave has been the Garlic Parmesan Chicken Crock Pot Meal). I think we’ve officially made eating at home a fun new challenge in our household. Admittedly, we eat out a lot, but after getting handed an $800 grocery bill, we are happily eating at home for forever lol!

Wedding season starts next month and I am thrilled to get back into my wedding groove. All of our weddings next month are local, we’ll be shooting at St. Mary’s Parish in downtown Massillon where Trevor and I will be photographing and celebrating with Matthew and Ivy for their wedding day. Then I have a few jobs in Canton and Akron shooting for other photographers.

I also have a handful of milestone and newborn sessions coming up! I am over the moon to photograph those! I’ve had a lot of wonderful newborns lately and the baby fever is killing me! Below are some recent shots of babies that’ve visited the studio.

We’re still trying to decide what to do for spring break! Are you going anywhere? Doing anything special at home? Just lounging around in your pajamas? We’re thinking of either traveling to Georgia to see my family, a trip to Great Wolf Lodge for a few days or we’re just going to hang out at home. Let me know!

Have a great March! 🙂
