We’ve officially settled into our new home in Mountain Home, Idaho! The house is absolutely beautiful, and while we do miss the convenience of city life – especially favorites like Chick-fil-A, Target, and Tremont Coffee, we’re loving all the charm this new area has to offer. There’s a splash pad, tons of parks for the kids, and we’re just a short drive from some of the most scenic spots on the West Coast. (Twin Falls has quickly become a favorite!)
Lately, we’ve been soaking up quality family time – playing basketball at the local park, board games, Go Fish, and lots of Dominoes! We also have a family-friendly gym where the kids come too, which has been a great way for all of us to stay active together.
On the photography front, I’m slowly ramping things back up. I’m still waiting on some more newborn props, but I’ve got a few sessions lined up and recently photographed some wonderful couples. I also have a styled wedding shoot on the calendar this month that I’m really looking forward to!
Work has been going well. I’m learning something new every day and really enjoy being so close to home. Trev even drives over occasionally to bring me snacks and water, and I get quick hugs from the kids before they head to the library. When I’m not working or photographing, you can usually find me out on my motorcycle (though I’m still working up the courage to ride to Boise solo – the highway winds here are no joke!) or creating Instagram and TikTok videos. Fun fact: I used to do YouTube commentary back in middle school, so it’s been fun tapping into that creative side again!
While I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to the summer heat (and wow, it REALLY is hot here!), we’re bracing for what Idaho winter has in store. With wildfires popping up often, it’s been a bit nerve-wracking – but I’m looking forward to seeing those snow-capped mountains once the seasons change.
